Dotplot Directions Using Webstat

The following link will bring up the Webstat site on your computer in a separate window:  http://www.webstatsoftware.com/

Follow these directions to get a dotplot of your data:

  1. Click on the Fire It Up link on the Webstat page.
  2. Enter the values of the number of success for each run of the experiment in the first column (called "var1").  For instance, your numbers might be 5, 6, 7, 4, 5, 6, 5, 7, 3.
  3. Now click on the Graphics link and then choose Dotplot from the pop-up window.
  4. Double-click on var1 in the Select Columns box.
  5. Click on Create Graph.

You should have a dotplot that you can save, print, and/or edit.

Feel free to experiment with other options for plotting via Webstat!
