It's Getting Close to That Time Again!!

The 2011 Contest in Modeling:  The Second Weekend in February (2/10-2/14)

First Meeting on Thursday 11/18 at 3:30 in the Math Lounge!

Are you a tenacious problem solver?

Would you like working with a group of like-minded individuals to solve hard problems?

Are you ready to compete on an international level?

Are you ready to have fun?

If so, then please considering representing Longwood University in the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications (COMAP) annual contest in mathematical and interdisciplinary modeling.

You are not required to be a mathematics or CS major to represent Longwood!  Participation in the contest will require a weekend of teamwork dedicated to solving an open-ended applied mathematics or interdisciplinary modeling problem.

Please see the LU COMAP Results from Previous Years page for pictures and detailed results of LU teams from past COMAP competitions. Please see the COMAP Training Materials page for links to information about and resources for the COMAP MCM/ICM.  Please contact Dr. M. Leigh Lunsford (aka Dr. L.) if you are interested in participating in this contest!
